Overheard: The Garbage Game

This morning while I was getting things together for a trip to visit Sean at work, I overheard the girls playing a new game.

Sam:  C’mon Ella, let’s throw out the garbage!  That’s garbage, that goes here.  That’s recycling, here, more recycling, recycling.  No! No, Ella no! That’s not recycling that’s compost!  COMPOST!  Ella!  If you don’t throw that with the compost I’m going to take your doctor kit away.  Hmmph.

Nice to know they’re listening.

Hi there! Dropping by from SITS to say Happy Saturday Sharefest. I love this post – I often find myself listening to my three year old daughter and thinking, where did she get that from? Then realizing she is repeating word for word some of the things I say to her.

Loved it! Beats my which-Bronte-said-what game I used to play with my sister as a kid.

Great game – hope they remember it when they’re older! ;)
