My Summer Bonding Project

I received some Glue Dots to try out from Glue Dots and TwitterMoms.   You can read about the contest at TwitterMoms.

Glue Dots are a great and safe alternative to typical tapes and glue guns. They are versatile and work on a variety of surfaces including: paper/photos, metal, wood, plastic, textiles and fibers, plastic, foam, and more! Glue Dots are a no-mess solution to all adhesive or glue needs. Bonding instantly, they require no dry time and provide instant gratification for kids and adults. Glue Dots provide the strength you need in an adhesive without the mess and dry time of liquid glues.

I thought I’d try them out on a couple of different things.  First, I’ve been wanting a new wreath for my front door so I thought I’d try to make one.

1. I got my supplies together.

2.  I arranged the fruit.  The larger pieces have wire to wind through the wreath and wrap around keep them on.  The smaller pieces I used Glue     Dots Craft dots to stick them to the wreath.  Here’s the finished product.

And here it is on my door.

Next, I decided to decorate a couple of plain picture frames I had.

1. The supplies

2.  I used Glue Dots craft dots and mini dots to stick the decorations to the frames.  The results were this:

3.  Here they are with pictures in them.

The Glue Dots worked great!  They weren’t messy and everything stayed in place easily.   I had my kids try them also, and my four year old could use them unassisted with no messes from either of them.    As an added bonus, I didn’t burn my fingers like I usually do when I use my glue gun.    If you want more information about Glue Dots, you can check out the Glue Dots Facebook Fan Page.

Disclosure:  I wrote this blog post while participating in the TwitterMoms and Glue Dots blogging contest to be eligible to receive a $30 gift card. For more information on how you can participate, click here.
