Words Of Wisdom

Sometimes my girls come up with some words of wisdom.  Thought I’d share.  Also, I’m a little low on the funny antics since I’m so sleep deprived and hungry, this is all I could come up with.

Words Of Wisdom from Sammy:

The scene:  Sammy is standing in front of my mirrored closet (that I hate), wearing a dress and a floppy hat.  She’s preening and fussing with her hair to get it to lay just right.  I look at her and see a tween, so I say,

“Can you stop growing up so fast, please?  Can’t you just stay little forever?”

Her response: “No, Mommy, I’m going to be 5 next time.”

Words of Wisdom from Ella:

The scene:  A typical day where the girls are driving me crazy and running amok and it’s the end of the day.  I’m ready to sell them all and use the money to move to Tahiti.

Ella climbs up behind me and wraps her arms around my neck.  “I wub you so much,” she says.  Suddenly, I don’t want to sell her anymore.  Sneaky.

I always feel an instant friendship with any mother who is willing to admit that sometimes you just want to run away!!
It never lasts long though does it?

I think we all want to run away sometimes, whether we admit out loud is another thing. But you’re right, it doesn’t last long and most of the time it’s great fun.

They always use some sort of tactic, huh. LOL!

But wait… wait until you become a grandma. That’s a whole other planned strategy against us! Ha! :D

So sweet! And today is my eldest’s bday — she’s 14 — and every year I say, “no more growing” and every year they ignore me….

Thanks for stopping by my place earlier….Good luck with WOW!

Aww. I love things little kids say. Tell us more often. They make me sigh and get all smushy.

Thanks again for last week! I feel all caught up now and raring to get back to the blogstone.

    Mwah, mwah and more mwah!

They have that sixth sense. I think they use it just so you will feel super guilty should you run for the hills.

    Evil geniuses.
