As you read this, I am getting set to return from a fun filled weekend in Las Vegas with Sean. Actually, we’re at a veterinary conference getting our required hours of continuing education so we can keep our licenses. It marks the first time we’re leaving all the girls. Through Their Eyes
I’ve been feeling a little old and haggard lately. Not just fatigue and tired and busy mom of three kind of old and haggard, but the ugly, unattractive kind of old and haggard. I’m aging and I’m not very happy about it. It’s got me a little down. Here’s a recent pic as evidence. I have puffy bags under my eyes, my pores are too big, and my skin is pasty. The Bible (as interpreted by a 3 1/2 year old)
Our kids attend a Lutheran preschool. They go to chapel once a week and hear Bible stories and learn about God and Jesus. They celebrate Christian holidays, say grace before eating, etc. We don’t go to church as a family. Therefore, we don’t discuss it much at home. This leads to our children interpreting things in their own ways. Samantha said grace before dinner last year, for example.
