The Foot Saga Continues

You may have noticed I didn’t post last week. That is because I was busy dealing with Penny’s foot.  You may recall, she has osteomyelitis from stepping on a rake in the garden. We have had doctor’s appointments, home health nurses, medicine deliveries, conversations with pharmacies, and actually having to give her the medicine. We went from giving medicine three times a day to finding out the levels of one of the antibiotics was too low leading to her needing that one 4 times a day and the other 3 times a day. Exhausted

You may have noticed I’ve not been posting as much lately.  Sorry if you’re missing me, but I’m exhausted.  Really, really exhausted.  Really. Penny is still getting up every 2 hours at night (stupid Disney vacation and teething).  We’re going on another trip for Labor Day, so I’m not going to force the issue until after that. Sammy is not napping at all, so I’ve basically getting 3-4 two hour naps at night.   I actually haven’t slept through the night since becoming pregnant with Penny.  I don’t sleep well for one reason or another when I’m pregnant.  That’s 18 months [...]

My horrible, rotten, very bad Saturday

My kids are rambunctious.  Most of the time I enjoy it.  I can look at their seemingly endless energy and enthusiasm (and screeching) as proof that they’re getting enough sleep, eating enough good foods, and enjoying life in this family.  Sometimes it can be a bit much and we have a bad day.  Saturday was a bad day.
