Penelope is not using a lot of words yet. She says a few things, maybe a dozen words, so I’m not concerned, but I do think she is not saying as many words as her sisters did at the same age. However, she manages to get her point across quite well using non-verbal communication. She is the most free with her laughs and smiles of the three, which is nice. Sisterly Love
My girls love each other. And they show it best through fighting and screaming. Even well intentioned playing ends up in a mess of tears and ear splitting screams. This is especially true when I’m trying to do something, say cook dinner, and am not physically in the same room. Take, for example, this true scenario. The setting: Our house. Let the Name Calling Begin
The girls have begun a new level of fighting. They are using their words. Name calling is not something I condone. It’s mean. There are more appropriate ways to deal with anger and frustration. I don’t want them to go to school and call the other kids names. It’s just not nice. I’m firm on my belief. No name calling. There is just one problem. I’m having a hard time not laughing.
