Simple Green Cleaning

You may all know I’m into green living.  I try to do what I can to live a green lifestyle and stay aware of how my choices impact the environment. One of the ways I do that is by making most of my own cleaning supplies.  I make an all purpose cleaner for the kitchen and bathroom surfaces, and use borax to clean the toilets. Green Thursdays: Stuff I Love Right Now

For today’s green living post, I thought I’d show you some of the green products I’m loving right now. 1. 100% Pure I like to make my own skin care products, but I don’t make everything.  This company makes their products out of natural ingredients so I’m not putting yucky stuff on my skin.  I love reading the ingredients because I know what they all are.  Their products are generally organic and all natural.  They make an organic lavender sea therapy bath salt that is fantastic.  It was given to me as a Christmas gift last year and I fell […]

Green Thursdays: Healthy Home Party

A couple weeks ago I hosted a Healthy Home Party sponsored by Healthy Child Healthy World.  The idea behind the parties is to raise awareness about chemicals and toxin exposures in the environment and what can be done to minimize those exposures in children.   We may not be able to eliminate all the toxic exposures our kids receive because they go out into the world where toxins  abound, but we can control what they are exposed to in our own homes.
