Finishing What I Start

I like to start projects.  They’re fun to start.  I’ve started a really cute advent calendar, a nice needle work picture that would be lovely framed and put up for the holidays, and a few other needlepoint projects.  I complain that my garden never grows, but honestly, I get bored of it and stop watering it.   I saw a pregnant stray dog at work this last week and I strongly considered offering to foster it if they can’t find the owner.  Because I really need a bunch of puppies in my house in December. Crawling out from under my NaNo rock

Oh, hello.   I’ve been doing this whole NaNoWriMo thing and haven’t seen the light of the bloggy world much this month.  Don’t mind my squinting, the bright light still hurts my eyes. Oh, by the way, I did it!  50000 words written.  You can look at the little widget on my sidebar that says “winner”.   I like to just look at it. Susan wiped the hot tears that threatened to erupt down her face as she walked out of Pastor James’s office and back through the sanctuary.    A heel got caught in  the grout between the stones of the floor.  She stumbled, landing on her knees, tearing her stockings.  She got up and rushed out of the sanctuary.  The snow was still falling, harder and wetter now.  She pulled her scarf over her head to try to stay dry and rushed across the street dodging traffic.
